Dave learned to Scuba dive at
Divers Paradise and quickly worked his way up through Divemaster.† Because of his love for diving he
went on to become an Instructor. His passion for diving led him to
invest in the store in 2013 when there was an ownership change.
Store Mgr. &
Master Service Technician
been certified since 1989. He is a Master Scuba Diver with PADI and
also holds NAUI and CMAS certifications. He has been with Divers
Paradise since 1991. He managed a second shop location for a few years
before leaving to go work for the Feds. He is currently back as their
Store Manager and Master Service Tech having performed equipment
servicing for over 26 years. He holds multiple factory certifications
including Mares, Cressi, Oceanic, Aeris, Hollis, Zeagle, Atomic
Aquatics, Dacor, and TUSA.
†Rick has been diving throughout
Texas, the FL. Keys, and the Bahamas with his most recent trip to the
Flower Gardens National Marine Sanctuary.
Service Technician &
is a Master Scuba Diver with PADI and NAUI and a Divemaster. He looks
forward to all things Tech and becoming our first Tech instructor.† His background includes Spacesuit
Life Support maintenance at NASA which carried him over easily into
SCUBA life support maintenance where he has certifications with Cressi,
Atomic, and Zeagle. He enjoys volunteering as a safety diver for the
local boat races and is currently a Commercial Diver.
is a former diver with NASA at the NBL Astronaut training center having
logged extensive hours underwater supporting our Nations Space Program.
He is our resident Crawfish cooking expert and cooks for our Annual
Crawfish party. He is also a proud U.S. Marine
Ray is a Divemaster and a Master Scuba Diver with PADI and NAUI
as well as a commercial diver. He has been diving around the world
while he served in the U.S. Navy. He has been diving in Italy, Malta,
Crete, Israel, the Seychelles, UAE, Gibraltar, and Djibouti.
Toddís love of Diving has taken him through Divemaster and he
enjoys sharing his passion with his wife and boys. Todd graduated from
A&M Galveston with a degree in Marine Biology which led him to
conservation work & extensive research on the critical habitat of
juvenile Red Drums and working with Salmon fisheries bypass facilities.
He has been diving in The Bahamas, Cabo,
Belize, Curacao, Cozumel, Dominican Republic, Socorro Islands, and
Catalina Island. He is eager to share his experiences with any that
is a Divemaster and looks forward to assisting with classes, leading
trips, and learning more about equipment repair. He looks forward to
taking more trips and experiences that will help hone his skills.
is a regular at the shop learning as much as he can. He has already
made multiple trips to the Springs in FL and dove on the Aircraft
Carrier Oriskany. This dive meant more to him
since he also served in the U.S. Navy. He is currently a Divemaster in
training and canít wait to get more certifications for Equipment
servicing as well as taking more trips. He loves to share his
enthusiasm with all he meets.
is a paramedic with extensive background in the world of Safety. He is
also an O2 and CPR Instructor. He grew up in Cozumel and intends on
returning to live there in a few years. He has been working on his
Divemaster and is a great addition to our staff.
Marc is another one of our instructors. He
has been diving for yrs and has been involved in the local dive
community in various ways. He too is a proud U. S. Marine Alum. He
currently teaches most of our Specialty classes as well as a few

Galveston. She is currently working on her 2nd Divemaster
rating with us since she comes to us from another agency.
